Share your weaning tips
So your baby’s about six months old and showing all the signs of being ready to start weaning: sitting up unaided, being constantly hungry and grabbing at everything and shoving it into his or her mouth. You’ve bought the highchair, the messy mat and the full body bibs, what’s next?
There are a few different approaches to weaning with the most popular being ‘spoon fed led’ and ‘baby led’ and the way you choose to proceed is a matter of personal choice.
We’d love to hear your experiences and we’re giving away a twin pack of our glass bottles and a pack of 2 silicone protective sleeves to one person who shares their top tips for stress free weaning.
You can share as a comment here or on our Facebook page.
Submissions accepted until 11pm on Thursday 16th, winner announced on Friday 17th.

UPDATE 17th Sept: Congratulations to Elizabeth B, you have won the glass bottles and protective sleeves! Thanks to all who took part.

My tip would be the ’2-spoon approach’!
My daughter was fiercely independent and wanted to do everything for herself. However, this generally meant she didn’t get much in her mouth.
One spoon for her and one for me solved the problem. Made mealtimes much less stressful for both of us.
My weaning tip is buy a messy mat – it’s much cheaper than a new carpet!!
