5 Pre-School DVDs For Under £5
Here’s Emma with her top 5 DVDs for the under 5s
If you are looking for some ideas for treats for your little ones this year then why not take your pick from the huge choice of DVDs available, ranging from Educational to Disney and Family Film.
I have sat with my pre-school son and picked out some of our top DVDs which you can buy for under £5 which makes them all perfect for little treats or birthday presents. My son is a huge fan of Dora The Explorer, he watches it so much that he is actually starting to pick up on the Spanish in it. I won’t be surprised if he’s counting to 10 in Spanish before he is in English! Considering the time of year, naturally the first DVD we would suggest is Dora The Explorer: Dora’s Christmas.
If your little one has also discovered Nursery Rhymes and is constantly asking you to sing them like mine is, why not give your throat a rest by getting them Wow Nursery Rhymes. This is also one of those carry case DVDs which is great for little hands.
One for the girls is Disney Princess Enchanted Tales: Follow Your dreams. It will bring out the little princess in your girl this Christmas. Why not stick this on after the buzz of Christmas has died down, let her dress up in one your dresses and style in her in true princess style and have your very own Disney Princess day.
One for the boys will be Big Machines: Diggers And Dumpers. I’m just waiting for my son’s own car obsession to take the next step into diggers and big machines. This will bring his own toy diggers to life and would be a perfect gift for his birthday later this year.
Is your little one a Cbeebies fan? Why not treat him to an extra dose of Mister Maker which for the first time is out on DVD. Mister Maker, for those parents not clued up on the likes of Cbeebies, is a pre-school arts and crafts program aimed at the little ones. We’re big fans of ‘Minute Make Time’ in this house, it’s where Mister Maker will make something in a minute and is always finished before the timer runs out and the bird pops out.
These are just our own choices but you can take your pick from thousands of DVDs available. If you’re not sure what to go for just you can use your child favourite TV programmes as a guide or opt for the classic Disney films which always offer great quality family entertainment.
